I actually messaged the Maroon Bluebook page po yesterday. Fortunately, I passed the UPCAT and was offered my first choice of campus and dream course (UP Diliman - BA English Studies). That said po, I'd like to extend my gratitude to the mentors of The Maroon Bluebook for their effective means of reviewing for the CET. Also, thank you po for selecting me as one of the scholars of the review program. It has really made all the difference.

Until now, I'm still trying to process the fact that I passed when I didn't expect anything based on how I thought I fared in the exam. Anyway, behind the overwhelming roller coaster of emotions, I'm just truly thankful for the people who supported me throughout the process.

I was able to secure a spot in UP Tacloban po. I honestly wasn’t expecting na makakapasa ako given na, as a humanista, we aren’t as exposed to science and math compared to STEM students.

The UPCAT was pretty nerve-wracking for me po. And I didn’t have much time to review kasi maraming requirements, thankfully the Master Class saved me. Every recess time or vacant time I scanned the exclusive notes po from the class. I watched videos rin po. It’s like a portable school.

Also, I believe that God played a big part rin po kung bakit ako na-accept. So the day before the entrance, I went to mass and prayed to God na ibigay niya po sa akin ang para sa akin.

I feel like this was only made possible with His grace po.

I was actually worried about the results since I thought that I did not do well on my test. Fortunately, the Maroon Bluebook positively accompanied me throughout my review and preparation for the UPCAT last year.

I don't know if you remember me po, but I emailed you before about some questions and advice regarding UPCAT and the UPCAT Masterclass online. I didn’t waste the opportunity and maximized my resources during that time. I truly worked hard and reviewed in preparation for the UPCAT.

I am glad I was able to purchase the UPCAT Masterclass Online during that time because I only had around 7 weeks (less than a month) before UPCAT. I became flustered and stressed because I felt kulang ako sa review. I doubted if tama ba iyong rineview ko or paano ba mag-review. I felt the need for an organized and comprehensive reviewer. Then I saw the TMB Online on Facebook and realized this was what I needed.

After a few days, I purchased it and immediately started. On the first day pa lang, napaka-organized na, and I didn’t feel alone sa journey ko kasi aalalayan ka ng mga mentors. The initial steps before reviewing turned out to be very crucial. I provided myself with a notebook just for TMB, where I wrote all my aspirations. I also made a calendar, which really helped since the UPCAT was approaching.

During my review, I read and wrote down notes from every refresher module, which turned out to be a mistake kasi naubos ang oras ko. It was better pala to do more practice tests. I focused on answering tests and watching video lessons, which were very helpful dahil nandun ang mga commonly lumalabas sa exam.

On the other hand, one drawback po is that after the UPCAT in June, hindi ko na masyadong nagamit ang TMB except for mock tests and the Prof page.

Anyway, I passed all the universities I applied to: MAPUA, UP, ATENEO, DE LA SALLE, UST.
I couldn’t have done it without you guys. Napakainspiring po kayo. Thank you!

A bit late na po, but I did pass the UPCAT 🥹. I am very happy to make myself and my family proud as the first UPCAT passer.

I also passed UST and Ateneo, and I’m now praying to pass my dream course in DLSU. I feel very proud because I didn’t let my hopes up before the release of these results. I wasn’t even expecting that I would get my priority program, pharmacy, in UST because I found it to be the most difficult exam among the four.

I’m really thankful for my past self and her efforts. Now, I have no regrets in dedicating my time to reviewing for my CETs. And of course, thank you MBB for your review materials that also helped me in my journey. :)

I made it to my first choice campus and first choice course, UP Diliman Industrial Engineering! Nearly three days have passed since I first checked my results, pero sobrang shellshocked pa din ako!

I owe a lot to you and all the mentors sa Maroon Bluebook. Since my senior high school year leading up to the UPCAT 2023 was hectic in terms of academic requirements, mas lalo na’t madami akong sinalihan na extra-curriculars. The online video courses as well as the cheat sheet sa loob ng libro saved me so much time.

I think it’d be safe to say that I could not have passed my dream school without you guys. THANK YOU SO MUCH, MAROON BLUEBOOK!!!

Taking the UPCAT was quite overwhelming for me, as it was my first admissions test. Even though I was a consistent honor student and ranked number one in my class, I still remember feeling anxious and nervous while reviewing. At first, I didn’t know how or where to begin.

This is where I owe you a great deal of gratitude. With your guidance, I was fortunate to be able to take and successfully complete the UPCAT. I’m thrilled to announce that YES! I PASSED THE UPCAT.

I’m happy to report po na I got accepted in UP Diliman and am being offered a degree in Applied Physics. Though I kind of messed up because I mistakenly switched my first and second option university (it should’ve been UPLB since they are the one that offers Accountancy, which is the course that I want), I’m still happy knowing that I passed the hardest entrance exam in the country.

Of course, I would like to thank a part of this success to your course as well. Even though I availed of the Maroon Bluebook slightly late, I still managed to squeeze some lessons that were useful when I took the exam. For that, thank you very much po!

Still can’t believe that I passed BS Public Health in UPM hehehe. Actually, even with my school background po, I was feeling anxious about the result. I didn’t have that much time to review due to school requirements that time.

I want to thank you po for helping me review the lessons po in the most accessible way. I remember watching your videos in the car or whenever I have extra time. Making the videos short rather than an hour-long lecture helped me focus more on the topic.

Fortunately po, I passed the UPCAT! I couldn’t believe it po at first since parang “windang na windang” po ako last time after taking the exam. Parang nasa acceptance stage na po ako agad when I got out of the lecture hall I took my test in.

I got an offer po for my second choice program, which is BS Industrial Engineering. I am waitlisted po for my first choice program, which is BS Chemical Engineering.

Anonymous (UPCAT Shifting Inquiry)

was told before I took the UPCAT that I shouldn’t prioritize quota courses since they are incredibly hard to get into, and if ever I do pass at a course I may not like, I could shift as long as my GWA aligns to the course’s shifting requirements.Now, I’m torn. Should I pursue The University of the Philippines, taking on a course that’s far from what I was planning to take and risk the shifting factor just to be at UP, considering its academic status and overall quality? Or should I erase it from my options, throw away the opportunity just to take the course I really love, and just choose from the two universities I’ve already passed that are offering me BS Nursing (the course I want to take)?

Besides this, I’d like to hear your opinion po on shifting courses at UP, as well as shifting campuses. Is it really possible po ba? A BA Applied Psychology course at UPC shifting to BS Nursing at UPM? If so, how?

For now, that’s all I have to say. The Maroon Bluebook definitely had an incredible impact on my UPCAT journey. In less than TWO MONTHS of review with the program, I still landed a waitlist spot at one of the most prestigious universities of the Philippines!

I may not have passed, but I’m still hopeful. I’ll be waiting for your response!

I was about to send the TMB page a message that I got into UP Diliman. However, I’m not going to commit po in UPD as I’m enrolled at Bates College in Maine, United States.

Nonetheless, I believe that TMB contributed to my test-taking skills (I’m one of the earliest enrollees of the course btw, 6 pa lang po ata yung nandon). I would even remember kuya Mark’s tips on math proficiency when I reviewed for the SAT.
